On November 20, 2024, the 6th Panhellenic Conference on Clinical Trials & Research will take place at the “Caravel” Hotel in Athens, under the theme “Clinical Trials and the Pharmaceutical Industry in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” during which the activities of Health Hub will be presented.
Within the framework of the conference, a roundtable discussion will be held with the participation of distinguished representatives from the European Digital Innovation Hub – Health Hub. Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology Mr. Konstantinos Demetzos from the Department of Pharmacy of NKUA, Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy Mr. Evangelos Karalis, also from the Department of Pharmacy of NKUA, and Ms. Maria Pournari, Head of International Development at JOIST Innovation Park and COO of Health Hub, will discuss the role of Artificial Intelligence in the development of new therapeutic products and in the digital transformation of healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry. The discussion will focus on the innovations introduced by Artificial Intelligence in pharmaceutical science and clinical trials, with emphasis on the use of computational simulations and generative neural networks.
Health Hub’s participation at the conference aims to highlight the decisive role of Artificial Intelligence in applications related to the development of new therapeutic products and the pharmaceutical industry as a whole. The use of generative algorithms can significantly reduce the number of volunteers required in clinical trials, offering a revolutionary approach that promises to reshape the landscape of pharmaceutical research. This innovative methodology, which has been proposed recently, along with its significant advantages in clinical trials and bioequivalence studies, will be presented in detail at the conference.
