Health Hub at the 12th Conference of the Cooperative of Pharmacists of the Aegean and Crete

The 12th Conference of the Cooperative of Pharmacists of the Aegean and Crete (SY.F.A.K.) took place on 13 and 14 September in Heraklion, Crete, welcoming 582 participants. Under the theme “Pharmacy: Health, Beauty & Wellness Services in the AI Era,” this year’s agenda focused on the professional development and continuous education of pharmacists and pharmacy assistants, the exchange of ideas and best practices across the pharmaceutical market, as well as the promotion of interdisciplinarity and collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Digital transformation of health and pharmaceuticals in focus

As part of the conference, Health Hub held a roundtable discussion titled “Digital transformation in the health and pharmaceutical sector through artificial intelligence.” The discussion was moderated by Konstantinos Demetzos, Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, who is also one of the Hub’s partners. Maria Pournari, Chief Operations Officer of Health Hub, presented the role of the Hub in driving the digital transformation of the health and pharmaceutical sector. Stavros Stavrinidis, Professor in the Department of Physics at Democritus University of Thrace, spoke about artificial intelligence and complexity in the development of new medicines.
