On 20 November 2024, the 6th Panhellenic Conference on Clinical Studies & Research will take place at the Caravel Hotel in Athens, under the theme “Clinical Studies and the Pharmaceutical Industry in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”. During the conference, the activities of the Health Hub will be presented.
As part of the conference, a roundtable discussion will be held with the participation of distinguished representatives of the European Digital Innovation Hub Health Hub. Professor of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology Mr. Konstantinos Demetzos from the Department of Pharmacy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy Mr. Evangelos Karalis, also from the Department of Pharmacy of the same university, and Ms. Maria Pournari, Head of International Development at the JOIST Innovation Park and COO of the Health Hub, will discuss the role of Artificial Intelligence in the development of new therapeutic products and in the digital transformation of healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry. The discussion will focus on the innovations brought by Artificial Intelligence to pharmaceutical science and clinical studies, with particular emphasis on the use of computational simulations and generative neural networks.
The participation of the Health Hub in the conference aims to highlight the pivotal role of Artificial Intelligence in applications related to the development of new therapeutic products and the pharmaceutical industry as a whole. The use of generative algorithms can significantly reduce the number of volunteers required in clinical studies, offering a groundbreaking approach that promises to reshape the landscape of pharmaceutical research. This innovative methodology, which has been proposed recently, along with its key advantages in clinical trials and bioequivalence studies, will be presented in detail during the conference.
