From 17 to 20 October 2024, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens hosted the international conference GENEDIS 2024, under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou. The conference, with the central theme “Genomics, Neuroscience, Therapeutics and Data Innovations,” brought together experts from diverse scientific fields to promote collaboration and the exchange of knowledge.
The keynote lectures took place on 18 and 19 October, while parallel sessions, workshops, and networking events were held throughout the duration of the conference. GENEDIS 2024 contributed to strengthening international collaborations and showcasing research outcomes that advance scientific progress. Specifically:
- More than 300 participants attended.
- Over 150 scientific papers were presented.
- More than 50 lectures were delivered by leading scientists.
Representatives of the Ionian University, Mr. Themistoklis Exarchos, Mr. Marios Krokidis, Mr. Panagiotis Vlamis, and Mr. Aris Vrachatis, presented key aspects of their work in the fields of Bioinformatics, Neuroscience, and Data Innovation.
Health Hub had an active presence, with its members presenting significant research work and participating in discussions. Representatives of the Health Hub contributed actively to the dialogue, promoting Greek excellence in the fields of Bioinformatics and Neuroscience.
Mr. Panagiotis Vlamis stated:
