On June 5, the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) Health Hub took part in a panel discussion during the Innovation Days organized by Novartis Hellas. The session was moderated by Maria Pournari, Chief Operations Officer of the EDIH Health Hub, and focused on the role of health startups in improving patient care. The discussion featured expert speakers Dr. Kaiti Milioni from MyHabeats, as well as Theodoros Spiliotis and Dimitris Soulani from Cordia Health. Two case studies were presented under the theme: “From Behavior Change to Innovation through Empowerment and Empathy”.
MyHabeats is a digital tool that supports patient adherence to post-operative guidelines following bariatric surgery. Cordia Health is a networking application aimed at patients with chronic conditions and their caregivers.
In press statements following the event, the participants highlighted the pivotal role of Health Hub in supporting their initiatives. Soulani noted that a key challenge for Cordia is expanding its user base. As he stated, “Health Hub helps us deliver this much-needed networking service to patients”.
“We collaborate with Health Hub, and this helped us participate in today’s Innovation Days event,” Milioni said. She added that the event brought to the forefront several issues that sparked her interest and that MyHabeats intends to address through new projects, to be developed in collaboration with Health Hub.
